Lotte’s Premium Ghana: Chocolate Shop Quality Aimed at Self-Reward Indulgence

Lotte has collaborated with Pierre Hermé to release three products under its “Premium Ghana” brand: “Truffle <Ispahan>”, “Fruit Chocolate <Satine>”, and “Nama Chocolate <Infiniment Vanille>”. These items will launch on January 21, targeting the “self-reward” demand that peaks during the Valentine’s season.

“Premium Ghana” has shown steady sales growth throughout the year, and the new products aim to enhance the brand’s premium image while attracting new customers. According to Lotte’s Koya Yamaguchi, the “self-reward” trend has been growing significantly during Valentine’s periods, driven by consumers seeking ways to invest in themselves in a stressful society. Meanwhile, the brand will continue to cater to the traditional “handmade demand” with its range of chocolate bars.

The development focused on faithfully recreating Pierre Hermé’s iconic flavors, with meticulous attention to ingredient selection and flavor harmony. Collaborative development in Paris contributed to enhancing the brand’s creativity. This partnership was made possible by shared philosophies and a commitment to innovation, as noted by Richard Ledu, President of PH PARIS JAPON.
