Vegeat®” is a food product that applies seaweed technology to condense the flavor and nutrients of vegetables into a sheet. It uses non-standard vegetables as raw materials, contributing to sustainability and reducing food waste. Made from vegetables and agar, it is rich in dietary fiber. It is allergen-free, suitable for baby food and care food, and has garnered global attention. Nutritionally, for example, the carrot flavor allows you to intake 16 times more dietary fiber than eating regular carrots (when the same amount is consumed).Vegeat®” is a sheet-shaped ingredient made by processing non-standard vegetables into a paste and then drying them. Despite being perfectly edible, vegetables that do not meet size and shape standards are often discarded, leading to food waste. “Vegeat®” is gaining attention as a sustainable ingredient that addresses this issue, with its introduction starting in supermarkets and restaurants. Additionally, by purchasing non-standard vegetables from farmers at least at the production cost, it also supports farmers and production areas.
